So it was on my [Drexelle] personal goal to drive a motorcycle someday.
May have something to do with having worked for a motorcycle accessory warehouse in college.
But mostly it was seeing all those awesome movie scenes/music videos of people racing in a motorcycle with some rockin’ leather outfit. …Maybe it was more about the excuse to wear the outfit.
Whatever reason behind it, it was on my bucket list.
But I knew it couldn’t possibly happen because:
- I have no sense of balance.
- I hate falling down.
- I hate hurting from falling down.
Then, we got this invitation one day to learn how to drive a motorcycle from the awesome McCunes after we did their fab marriage shoot here.
It hit me that, just like what stopped me from going after any dream, applied here:
Some dreams are big and heavy.
Some dreams won’t look sexy for a long while when you’re starting out
Some dreams can’t be done on your own. You’re going to have to *gulp* admit you need help.
Despite having fallen and cringing at the idea of 300 lbs possibly crushing me, I can’t explain that rush. Man, that rush when we first were able to drive on our own. It was amazing.
And we realized. Sometimes, you just need to shut up…and go try it.
Special thank you to the fabulous McCunes! We’re so grateful for the opportunity. Had an awesome time!
