Anthony and Brett wanted their engagement to be colorful, playful and super editorial. The Royal Hawaiian in Laguna Beach was the perfect setting.
We started with their dressier looks against the restaurant’s bamboo architecture, glowing bar and jade details. Then they changed into these stunning blue and pink tiki shirts that brought so much life and personality to the space.
One of the key moments was witnessing and capturing the Royal Hawaiian’s flaming Bali Bali. Between the bartender preparing the drink, the burst of fire and the two of them leaning in together behind the flame, it became one of my favorite parts of the session.
We also played with shared cocktails, bride-to-be sunglasses, dramatic bar portraits and a proposal at the iconic clamshell. Some moments were intentionally posed and fashion-forward. Others were simply Anthony and Brett laughing, kissing and enjoying the experience together.
I loved how the session felt perfectly like them.
Anthony and Brett, thank you for trusting me with your vision and bringing so much joy to every frame, my dears.
