Genie and Daniel | Artistic Carbon Canyon Engagement

October 21, 2011 by D. Park Photography Leave a Comment

the romantic proposal

A few of Genie’s closest friends had come to town and Daniel shared with Genie that they’d be having dinner together at The Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney.  Just for fun, he suggested, “Let’s take the train!” to get there.

The train was packed but they found a relatively private area where they could be as alone as possible (ok, there was one other person there but remember it was crowded).  Once they sat, Daniel took her hands and shared with her how much he loved her and wanted to be with her.

She quickly interrupted with, “What are you doing?”

Then, he was on one knee and surprised her with a gorgeous coral engagement ring.

“Genie, will you marry me?”

She agreed.

Once the train stopped, she was greeted with what she described as a BAJILLION balloons and good friends who screamed “CONGRATULATIONS!”

why the train?

Genie had written in a blog post her love for the song “Marry Me by Train”.

why balloons?

Genie and Daniel are huge Up fans (who can blame them).  I gotta say being greeted by a bajillion balloons…SOOOO cute and romantic.

How awesome is that?  WELL DONE, DANIEL!

the engagement session

We’ve absolutely loved working with the fabulous Genie and her gorgeous hair pieces and custom accessories.  When getting ready for their engagement session, we were super excited.  It’s AWESOME when couples incorporate who they are and their love story into their e-session.

So when we heard they wanted an artistic engagement session where they both were going to paint, we were all in!

Congratulations, Genie and Daniel!  We are praying that the Lord richly bless your marriage.  We’re so excited for what we know will be a truly beautiful, moving wedding day.  Can’t wait!  See you two soon!
