Living together and working together can easily turn a “date night” into a business meeting. Not romantic.
But we know it’s important to turn off work, to do lists, and just have fun together as a couple. Date nights are a must for us.
So we’re excited to share with you our date night recommendations, a date night guide if you will.
We actually found this spot during a family dinner but we knew it’d be the perfect spot for a future evening together.
Mastro’s Ocean Club Fish House
There are several Mastro’s Restaurants but this hot spot is in Newport Coast. You can actually have a window view to see the beach as you dine.
It’s a great spot for an evening together: great service, lovely wine selection, live music
Delicious food – hands down, the Chilean Sea Bass is the BEST. For sides, we highly recommend the lobster mashed potatoes (thank you, Lydia from Ever Ours, for the recommendation!) as well as the creamed corn.
The only downside I have to share is we weren’t too impressed with the dessert. But, oh well, an excuse to extend the evening and go explore the beachside for great sweets!
Oh, and here’s the Yelp review in case you’re like us and HAVE to check Yelp before you check out a restaurant.
