Location | Napa Valley, CA
So we got in our car and took a long drive…
…to explore the grand vineyards and scrumptious foods of Napa Valley.
the wine tasting
1st stop | Hendry Ranch
This turned out to be the perfect 1st place for newbies to wine tasting like us. The people were friendly. The wine tasting delicious. The selection diverse. The education they gave, a Wine Tasting 101 if you will, was invaluable to the rest of our trip. We highly recommend this place.
This vineyard came with its own contemporary art exhibit, tour, and gift shop. It was a quick and easy stop along Napa for some good wine.
A beautifully scenic drive in a small winding path to get to this grand estate. Appointments required to get a tour and tasting but we managed to explore the grounds, including the Schramsberg caves.
A huge vineyard and our final stop – to get our last taste and to learn all about Napa’s sparkling wines
And to relax after all the tasting in their field of mushrooms
the food tasting
I’ll be honest. My favorite part wasn’t the wine…but the food. A few of our favorites:
Good burgers. Good fries.
Love their tag line.
Note: It’s a set menu and reservations are highly recommended.
And my personal favorite…
The long line was worth it…just for a taste of those macaroons. These were the best we’ve ever tasted in our travels. Note: Bouchon Bakery will be opening up next to the Bouchon in Beverly Hills in the next year or two! Stay tuned…for some amazing macaroons.
It was truly a blessing to be able to vacation together. We’re thankful for that time.
