So very grateful to one of our favorite brides-turned-good-friends for giving us a awesome personal Universal Studios Backlot private tour on one of these babies! This gave us an incredible opportunity to scout for potential future engagement shoots at one of the most beautiful outdoor sets in the world.
So the one movie we watch EVERY SINGLE YEAR is Back to the Future.
And we became like little kids again when we got to walk along the original set.
Playing around at the clock tower! …with a different clock…and front columns.
Knightly running around inside the Clock Tower!
And then standing next to the way-smaller-than-I-expected Lyon Estates signs. GREAT SCOTT!
Knightly got to stand on the actual Back to the Future 3 train (which was crammed into the back of a parking lot).
Knightly waved to the tram whenever it drove by. So precious.
Hanging out at the set of The Good Place starring Kristen Bell and Ted Danson. It’s a ridiculously adorable spot for photos.
A glimpse of heaven for the chocoholic in me
It was awesome to revisit all the spots the tram takes us through and to get to walk around and explore.
Having watched every single episode of Desperate Housewives, needless to say, I pretty much geeked out about being able to sit on Bree’s front steps and take a family photo.
And walk inside Gabrielle and Carlos’ home, looking out the window where the gardener snuck out…
David enjoyed directing a post-apocalyptic photo of me and Knightly running through the War of the Worlds set.
…Knightly did not.
Still, what an awesome once-in-a-lifetime experience for our family. We enjoyed every minute (Knightly mostly every minute)!
And got one of my personal all-time favorite photos of our family <3
