Like Luke Skywalker seeking Yoda to learn about the Force, we’re on the lookout for Marriage Jedi Masters. Because, frankly, we want this to not only last, but go on strong.
But ask any married folk and they’ll tell you it’s hard. Actually, when we got engaged, more people criticized that we even would get married than congratulated us. Is anyone else getting that?
We understand the heartache that can happen in marriage. But, for us, despite the love and war that can happen, we’re in it for forever. So we’re always looking for great couples to learn how they do just that.
There was one inspiring couple we had to learn from, Mike and Rachel Larson. We were blessed to run into them at WPPI. Rachel, with her new 2 month old baby Hannah, stood for the entire class to watch and support her husband speak.
So we had to ask Mike and Rachel Larson: What advice do you have on creating a strong marriage?

“BY WORKING TOGETHER, YOUR MARRIAGE WILL BE STRONGER THAN EVER.”

“WORK THROUGH THE TOUGH STUFF. IT IS DEFINITELY TOUGH BUT IT IS TOTALLY WORTH IT.”

Special thank you to these two examples of love that lasts and of a marriage, that not only makes it, but goes on strong.
And a little note to Rachel: I hope I can be as loving of a wife as you if and when God blesses me to be a mom.
You guys are sweet. What a great post! It was good to meet you at WPPI!
