Photog FAQ | BEST Photographer Business Cards

October 17, 2011 by D. Park Photography 2 Comments

For today’s popular Photog FAQ:

Where do you recommend getting business cards?

From the hundreds of photographer business cards we’ve seen and researched, we by far (and for years now) vote this place to be the best:

MOO

why moo?

  • Printfinity: It’s the unique thing Moo does.  Different images on EVERY card in the pack!  By far, no matter how cool your card is, we’ve seen the best reaction when people have been able to view a variety of our images right when we meet. It’s been the perfect conversation starter and a great way to sell yourself the first time you run into any potential client.

  • Premium quality thick 16 pt paper
  • Wrapped up and ready to go with a stylish custom designed card box of its own

  • Easy uploading: Very easy to understand instructions and user interface
  • Guaranteed satisfaction: They’ve been great with customer service, quick turnaround, and even correcting any mistakes that might’ve been made and rush shipping back the one time we saw something we wanted fixed.

what should you put on your business card?

Like any other marketing material, less is more.  Only put what’s vital. We recommend including only your studio name, email, number and website.

Here’s ours:

business card dictionary

It’s a different vocabulary when you look into buying business cards.  Here are some key definitions you may need:

  • 14/16 etc. pt: A measurement of the thickness of the card
  • deboss: An image/area pressed into paper or board creating a sunken area.
  • emboss: A raised image impressed onto an item’s surface
  • letterpress: a form of printing in which ink is applied to the raised surface of the type.
  • matte: flat; not reflecting light; not glossy

Ready to order your own?  You can get your Moo business cards here.
