Photographer’s Corner | Biz Clarity Workshops

August 23, 2010 by D. Park Photography 2 Comments

Location | Irvine Hilton

For all business owners, one of the most obvious and important, yet overseen, things to learn: Business.

There’s an ever growing number of new wedding photographers coming into the market.  We all know this.  All you have to do is look over your shoulder when you’re photographing a wedding to see the other current or soon-to-be competitors photographing alongside you.

You grow your technical skill. Yes.  Have amazing exposure and composition.  Good.  Make your clients feel comfortable and capture them and all the details beautifully.  Wonderful.

But after it’s all said and done, will your business survive?  No, after all the time, energy, and investment you put into it – your business should do more than just survive – will your business thrive?

Let’s talk business, fellow photographers.

Inspiring. Challenging. Truly clarifying.

We had the blessing and honor to be invited to the 1st Biz Clarity workshop, hosted by Lawrence Chan and Jeff Jochum, at the Irvine Hilton.  Attended by just 20 attendees invited from around the globe, we learned business.  A glimpse of the day:

We had the pleasure to meet and hear the stories of how these incredible photographers made it.

Me Ra Koh – An empowering lady and inspiring mom!

Jessica Claire – Ever adorable

Dawn Davis – It was really great to hear from a fellow husband/wife team.  Doesn’t she look beautiful?  I loved her outfit.

Lawrence Chan – We finally got to meet the ever-talked-about Tofurious.

Jeff Jochum – Who focused on sharing clarity with a tough love approach, an honest outlook I really valued.

wanna go to the next one?

We’re so thrilled to hear from you! I’ve been telling David about all the stories you shared and your experience. It really did mean a lot to hear from a husband/wife team who had similar struggles. Your story is inspiring. I pray continual blessings for your marriage and business. You guys are fabulous!
