the love story
Once upon a time, Becca and Mike met at a pizza parlor. That was on the sixteenth of that month and, exactly a month later, Mike asked Rebecca to be his girlfriend. Coincidentally again on the sixteenth again one month after that, the two visited Disneyland together for the first time, where they began to grow together in their love for one another and their love for Disney. Rebecca and Mike fell more and more crazy in love.
the proposal
In celebration of when they first met, Mike and Becca took trips to Disneyland together every 16th day of the month. On one special trip, however, Mike enlisted the help of Disneyland cast members to post signs on various rides. “WILL” on one. “YOU” on another. As they walked from ride to ride, Mike pointed out how odd that there were signs on all these rides to Becca. Then, on another ride, they saw “MARRY”. When they reached “ME” on Space Mountain, the first first ride they had ridden together, Mike pulled out a beautiful bouquet of lillies, Rebecca’s favorite flower, and asked her to be his wife.
the wedding
Today Mike and Becca celebrate their special day at their favorite place – Disneyland – on, of course, the sixteenth of the month!
Becca’s shoes were custom designed by KustomKreations by Kei who even incorporated their special number 16 by hiding the number on the heel of the shoe. Perfect!
Gorgeous – gorgeous shoes <3
You can see the jeweled number sixteen on the right top of the heel. Love the personalization!
Becca adorned herself with glamorous jewelry like pearls and other precious stones. They weren’t just beautiful, they were also sentimental: her earrings and bracelet were passed down from her great grandmother to every woman in the family all the way to Becca!
The couple designed a beautiful, authentic Sleeping Beauty storybook
The Bride prepared to see her Prince Charming in the luxurious Adventureland Suite, her favorite suite in all of Disneyland
Love the eclectic adventureland-themed decor in the suite!
Instead of bouquets, the bridesmaids held these gorgeous lanterns. Each was inspired by a different Disney Princess!
Becca herself looked absolutely stunning.
She wore her “something blue” subtly – in her hair! Such a unique way to personalize bridal traditions.
Becca was beautiful!
Becca also had very touching first looks with both her mother and father.
Mike himself got a special boutonniere custom made on Etsy.
Having a blast with his men
Watching kid cartoons in the kiddy chairs at the Grand Californian Hotel
Of course, the wedding party was altogether fabulous
Oh my goodness, seriously a hot couple. We love you guys <3
The couple had their touching first look in Disneylands’ Fantasy Faire
And wedding romantics in front of the Disneyland castle
They even got to explore and take fun, romantic shots in the Tower of Terror while no one was around!
The wedding actually marked the momentous occasion of being Aladdin’s Oasis’ first wedding! Beautiful ceremony venue.
Vibrant colored bottles were used as decor around the ceremony space.
Mike’s heartfelt first look at Rebecca brought tears to his eyes (and to me and the guests as well). LOVE it when the groom cries <3
Becca’s first reaction upon seeing Mike at the ceremony. So touching <3
Have to share this again but was just so moved by what Mike shared in his vows:
