Introducing the beautiful Cupertino wedding of Tina and Giac!
their love story
Giac and I met in dental school. I started my first year at Tufts Dental in Fall of 2008. Giac happened to be my orientation leader! I remember thinking the first time I met him was how bright his orange sweater looked haha. Other than that first day, our paths really didn’t cross until the beginning of my second year. I was invited to a get together put on by Vietnamese upperclassmen to welcome the incoming Vietnamese students to Tufts. Giac happened to be there as well and that’s when he managed to get my phone number. We chatted for a while but I was very hesitant about getting into a relationship and gave him a pretty hard time about it. However, he was very persistent and finally won me over with how caring and kind he is! I had gum surgery done and my mouth was pretty swollen and sore. He knew I was having the procedure done and knew that I wouldn’t be able to eat anything so he showed up at my door with a bag of groceries and food (jello, soup, etc). He also stopped by the next few days with food that he made himself chopped up in tiny little pieces so that I will be able to eat them. He was just so sweet and caring that I couldn’t say no! And the rest is history. I am so glad I finally gave him a chances because I couldn’t be happier!
giac’s romantic proposal
We were on spring break vacation in Florida. We spent our first two days with friends in Fort Lauderdale. After that he had booked for us to stay two nights at the Ritz-Carlton in Key Biscayne, Florida. They had a private beach in the back of the hotel. Our last night there, we had walked out to dinner at a restaurant a few miles from the hotel. We decided to take a stroll on the beach to walk off all the food we just ate but before that Giac wanted to stop by our room to use the restroom (I didn’t know it then but that was when he went to get the ring from his backpack!) We walked back down to the beach and took a stroll. On our way back from the stroll we stopped by the hotel water fountain that overlooks the beach to sit and talk. We were joking around and taking funny pictures with my phone when he swiveled around and got on his knees. At first I thought he was joking because we were just being silly moments ago so I actually laughed and got up to pull him up with me haha. He pulled me back down and pulled out the ring! I was speechless and couldn’t stop smiling the whole time! The next day we boarded our cruise ship to the Bahamas for the weekend. It was by far the best and most memorable spring break ever!
