We loved hanging out with Christine and Kevin. Their wedding day was just amazing.
The extra special thrill of the day was shooting at such a gorgeous venue with beautiful light – the Santiago Canyon Estate. There were just so many beautiful moments to capture that day!
As a photographer, it’s an incredible feeling to be able to capture a couple’s love story and to meet all their loved ones. It’s such a blessing.
More important to us than all the details and lighting (which are awesome) is getting to know who our couples are and to learn all about their love story.
the love story
Check out their adorable love story.
From their wedding website: Although Kevin and Christine were both born and raised in California, they met across the country in Boston, Massachusetts during graduate school. Kevin was actually Christine’s supervisor during her first laboratory rotation, and while there weren’t sparks right away (the lab is not the most romantic of places), there was an actual fire! Christine made a novice mistake and ignited a fire at the lab bench. Alarmed and unsure of what to do, she called out for Kevin’s help and, after calmly putting away the radioactivity he was working with, he swooped in and saved the day. Little did they know, this was foreshadowing for the rest of their lives together (minus the radioactivity)!
One night Kevin and Christine went out with some mutual friends and, upon finally getting to know each other outside of lab, Kevin immediately became interested in Christine (and vice versa!). He asked to see her the next day and they spent the nice spring afternoon walking around Jamaica Pond in Boston, talking and learning more about each other. Kevin eventually wore her down with his charm and humor, and they started officially dating.
After a little more than 6 great years together, big changes were happening in Kevin’s life, like leaving Boston to start a new job in Irvine, California. But, throughout all of it, he knew that Christine being in his life was one thing that he would never want to change. So, on a cold but sunny winter day, he brought her back to Jamaica Pond to ask her to marry him. She said “Of course.” and –at the place where their relationship first blossomed- they began the next stage of their amazing relationship together!
the wedding day
Ah, love this precious moment David caught as Christine was looking out her window to see Kevin arrive with his family for the traditional groom’s processional for their Vietnamese tea ceremony.
Christine and her mother and sister getting ready for the tea ceremony. Beautiful room and lighting! Priceless moment.
Christine, you seriously looked like a supermodel that day. Gorgeous!
Had so much fun hanging out with Christine’s awesome bridesmaids – it was fun to capture the 8 of them doing their hair and makeup for the wedding.
Christine, you were a beautiful bride!
One of the best moments of the wedding day is when the bride is getting all dolled up with her best friends in life

Christine and Kevin had such a gorgeous celebration. This was actually our last wedding we took on before the baby came and we’re so thankful to be a part of capturing it! What a way to go!
