the romantic proposal
On April 8, 2011, Ronnie took Kristine to her favorite sushi restaurant, Sugarfish by Sushi Nozawa in Brentwood. While having a lovely meal, Kristine admitted to Ronnie that she had a rough week at work and Ronnie assured her that things would improve. After dinner and a quick stop at Bevmo, Kristine and Ronnie returned home for a quiet and relaxing night at home. As Ronnie made his way to the closet to change, he asked Kristine to look through his work bag for a “new book” he just bought. In the work bag, Kristine pulls out a photo book which Ronnie had constructed. It contained photos and descriptions of their adventures together. Thinking that this was an early anniversary gift, Kristine slowly went through each and every page. She was moved by the photos and captions until she reached the very last page. There she found a passage which Ronnie wrote to her.
As she slowly read through the passage she got to the very end, which read “Will you continue this journey together with Your First Name and My Surname?” which were lyrics taken from one of Kristine’s favorite songs “Your First Name and My Surname” by Jacky Cheung, a famous Hong Kong singer.
When she finished reading it, Ronnie got down on one knee and the rest was history. True to his words, Kristine’s week got much better very quickly!
the wedding day!
Recognize the venue?
Kristine and Ronnie’s wedding took place at the site of the engagement party from the hilarious movie, Bridesmaids!
We couldn’t wait to see Kristine as we got ready and drove over to the Sherwood Country Club. We knew she’d be freakin’ gorgeous!
Beautiful hair and makeup from Chia Li Meng and her team!
Details, details! It’s so important to capture all the things the bride and groom plan for on their wedding day. Love it.
Kristine, you’re such a natural gorgeous model. Look how beautiful you are!
Priceless moment – the finishing touch and emotion when the bride’s veil is placed
One of our favorite photos of Kristine
He cleans up nicely. You looked so handsome, Ronnie!
Precious first look moment
The awesome bridal party!
Super cute dresses and bouquets
Kristine looks gorgeous in whatever she wears! Loved her beautiful red gown for her traditional Chinese tea ceremony.
Ronnie’s face when he first saw Kristine walk down the aisle
Kristine’s precious expression – such a beautiful moment – that first look in the ceremony. Even after doing a first look, many couples think it diminishes the moment on the ceremony but it SO doesn’t! We’ve found that following an emotional first look is an even more precious time at the ceremony. It’s so worth it.
Loved Ronnie’s parents’ reactions throughout the day – So cute!
LOVE capturing the bride and groom playing around
Ring shot time! This is quickly becoming one of my favorite shots to take.
RONNIE IS SUCH A ROMANTIC!
He surprised Kristine by performing their song that he dedicated to her when he proposed. It was freakin’ adorable. Her reaction!
