Of all the places in all the world, of all the weddings that we could ever capture, we have secretly held onto our top wish list. In the top 3 of both lists, we wished to see the Shire in New Zealand…and we wished to do a Lord of the Rings wedding. And never, ever, would we have dreamed that we would see both wishes fulfilled at once.
We rewatched all the Extended Editions of the movies. We reread all the books. As we landed and drove to Hobbiton, we blasted the Lord of the Rings soundtrack.
And after the absolutely most unforgettable wedding experience of our lives, we overheard the staff at Hobbiton talk amongst each other that this was their favorite wedding there of all time.
And we have to agree.
